Thanks, JF!

I downloaded the changes, compiled _vmssmg.exe, and copied it and __init__.py to python_root:

Hi; I am trying to use setuai for the first time. I can get it to work fine using numeric arguments, but I can't seem to successfully use a string argument:

Thanks, JFP. I downloaded the sources and started a build, but got hung up at:

One way to do this might be to code a kill() statement (http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/732final/5763/5763pro_039.html) in a C module, then link to the module from your FORTRAN program.

Hi, JFP;

I took your advice, and created my own green-screen UI using your Python SMG module. However, I have encountered a small bug in one routine that I wanted to fix. What would be the best way ...

Thanks, JF. I think it's possible that Python curses uses ncurses, which I seem to recall has not been ported to OpenVMS.

vms.screen looks like someone has put a lot of work into it, a big thanks t ...

Hi, Jean-Francois;

I think that the problem with C fwrite() and MAXBUF=64000 is a VMS bug, and may go away in the future. Myself, I would suggest that the IO splitting be removed from fileobject.c, ...

I will try simply adding "ctx=stm" to all reads in fileobject.c and see if text files continue to be read correctly. I'll let you know what I find.

Glad you like the idea of t ...
