First off, this is NOT meant as a complaint

I was wondering, what are the roadblocks to getting Python 3 onto OpenVMS

VSI now formally support Alpha (although it is meant to be a stepping stone for people to be able to move to X86-VMS when it arrives)

Python 3 has well and truly passed the threshold point of first choice when it comes to what people pick when selecting python now

I am just wondering what are the roadblocks for getting Python 3 established on OpenVMS now?

This post is meant to be a tag so the issues can be identified and quantified so we know where to target support, help, funding etc. It's not meant to be in any way a criticism if the excellent work done by the custodian of this forum, without who's help we would not even have python v2!!

There is a project to port Python 3 on OpenVMS.
Don't know the exact status, as I'm only focus on Python 2.

But I have have added python-future modules, so you can write Python 3 compatible code in Python 2.
