Hi,

i try to change datadir directory location without success.
I have change the datadir option in the my.cnf file.
When i try to create the system datas with"@first_start_musql" procedure, the mysql data directory is always created and populated in the MYSQL_ROOT:[DATA] (not in the new directory).

At the end the procedure the system crash with the followings errors:

Hello Mohcine,

I'm not aware of this problem,

you should replace /mysql051_root/data/ not only for datadir but for, also, a few others variables like some innodb* variables.

You also have to set the security profile of your newly directories, look at the mysql051_sql:[000000]data.DIR for the correct security.

You can also try to create the initial database into the default location, then move to the new one and fix the my.cnf configuration file.
