Maybe...

I've no idea how to read that page, or how to know what
on that page relates to the 4-Feb kit....

Same "problem" again... Smile

There seems to be a new "jfppy0013.zip" file available.
How do I know what is changed from the "jfppy0012.zip" file ?

Before you ask, Wink

As a small problem has been reported with the help() command (paramiko and wasd modules problems) and due to lack of time, I have done a silent update of the kits with 2 small fixes in wasd and paramiko modules...

HI.

On http://www.vmspython.org/anonymous/kits/tmp/axp/
I can see that the jfppy kit was updated Yesterday.
Now, I still have a very difficult time to find what is new
in the kits. The hg-link posted earlier in this thread is dead.

Correct, the link is http://hg.vmspython.org/vmspython/, I have updated the note.

It is a just an update of the module mpmath.

The documentation page of modules has been enhanced (http://www.vmspython.org/DownloadAndInstallationPython).
It contains a brief documentation if each include module.

A good place to find what change is also to look at the history of this page.

Each time a module is added or updated, the page is updated.

The kit may be also updated, because django or mercurial, which are include in it, are updated.

ps.

hello Jescab

I think you are right, we still have to find a good way of notifying the last changes in Python for VMS.

How would you do that ?
a note in the forums
a wiki page
a text file
...

regards

Well, at least when there is a new kit/LD-file available.
I am not interested in any other changes (not available to me).

The problem is that when I am on the download page there
is no natural way to "click" to some page with the updates.

As an example, how do I get from the main Python page to
the "hg.vmspython.org" page ? That is, without using some
bookmark or just remembering the URL ?

The page :
says : "What will be included in the kit (forthcoming)" above
the list of included modules. How is that to be interpreted ?
Is the list for the current released LD-kit, for the current
tmp-LD-kit or for some not-yet-available-at-all LD-kit ?

I have create an new page on the wiki: History, what's new.
Every time something is done, this page will be updated.

Also, feel free to update the wiki to enhance it, adding somewhere the various link you mention.

Thanks for your feed back.
