Hi Jfp and all,

I'm trying to install MySQL 5.1.46 with the pcsi kit found at "http://www.pi-net.dyndns.org/anonymous/kits/tmp/ia64/".

The "[.MYSQL]FIRST_START_MYSQLD" procedure failed with the following message "LIBZSHR_64.EXE not found". So I'm trying to search this file into my system disk without success.
Normally from MySQL 5.1.22 the MySQL kit include the Zlib library. Right?

I any one can help me to solve my problem?

Regards.
Mohcien

Hello,

on IA64, you have to install ZLIB, download the kit from the vmsmysql site.

The docs are incorrect about this. You need to download and install zlib-v0102-3-1.zip from:

http://www.pi-net.dyndns.org/anonymous/kits/ia64/

Then run @dev:[libz]startup where dev is where you installed zlib to before starting mysql. This will define the logicals for the zlib shared images mysqld expects to find.
